4A Football Quarterfinals: Camas Papermakers Stay Undefeated

The Camas Papermakers advanced to the semifinals of the 4A Washington state football playoffs with a commanding 35-21 victory over the Arlington Eagles in the quarterfinals at Doc Harris Stadium. Camas remains undefeated at 12-0 and showcased its strength in offense and defense, demonstrating why it is the top seed.

The game started as an offensive shootout, with both teams trading touchdowns. Camas pulled ahead 28-7 after key contributions from quarterback Jake Davidson, who passed for 217 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for two more. Wide receiver Anthony Forner shined with a pivotal 70-yard touchdown reception and a crucial defensive pass breakup late in the game.

Arlington fought back, narrowing the score to 28-21 in the fourth quarter after a controversial reversal of an incomplete pass call, but Camas responded with a decisive 70-yard, clock-draining drive that sealed the game. The Papermakers’ defense held Arlington to minimal rushing yards, with timely interceptions and critical stops.

Camas now prepares to face Gonzaga Prep in the semifinals, aiming to return to the championship for the first time since their 2019 title run.
